Furniture finished with Osmo natural oil is easy to maintain and rewards you with a beautiful patina over time. At TafiMade, we use Osmo for both our home and audiophile furniture because it protects solid wood while keeping its natural warmth and texture. With a few simple habits, your oiled finish will stay smooth, rich, and durable for many years.
Below is a practical guide to :elp you keep your oiled wood surfaces looking their best.
General Cleaning Audiophile furnitures:
- Dust Regularly: a soft, dry microfiber cloth. This prevents buildup and keeps the sheen consistent.
- Wipe Spills Quickly: Osmo oil protects well against moisture, but standing water can leave marks. Mix a small amount of Osmo Wash & Care with water. Use a slightly damp cloth.
- Do not use all-purpose household cleaners or alcohol or ammonia-based sprays or abrasive pads or magic erasers
Deep Conditioning (2–4 Times per Year)
- Use Osmo Wash & Care for periodic cleaning
- Mix a small amount of Osmo Wash & Care with water
- Wipe with a damp cloth (not wet!) and dry with a clean towel.
This keeps the surface nourished and prevents the wood from looking dry or dull.
epairing spots, Scratches & Wear
One of the biggest advantages of Osmo oil is its easy spot repair — no sanding the entire surface.
For Light Scratches
Clean the area and apply a tiny amount of Liquid Wax Cleaner then buff it
For Deeper Wear or Discoloration
Use Osmo Polyx-Oil (the same product used originally):
- Lightly sand only the damaged spot with 400-600 grit
- Wipe clean
- Apply a thin coat of Osmo oil
- Let it dry and buff gently
To keep solid wood at its best, protect it from prolonged sunlight, use coasters when possible, and maintain stable indoor humidity. With these easy steps, your TafiMade audiophile furniture will remain beautiful, resilient, and naturally elegant for decades.
